RESOLUTION NO. 2025-138
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH BLACK
HAWK SPRINKLERS, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $27,430.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
SERVER ROOM DRY FOAM SPRINKLER SYSTEM, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has identified the need for a server room dry foam
sprinkler system to enhance fire protection and safety for critical infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Black Hawk Sprinklers, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, has been selected to
provide the necessary materials and installation services based on their expertise and competitive
proposal; and
WHEREAS, the proposed contract amount for the installation of the sprinkler system is
$27,430.00; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City of Waterloo to proceed with this
contract to ensure the server room is adequately protected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The contract with Black Hawk Sprinklers, Inc., in the amount of $27,430.00, for the
installation of a server room dry foam sprinkler system is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
