RESOLUTION NO. 2025-143
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH TERRACON CONSULTANTS, INC., OF
CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$41,000.00 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024
HAWTHORNE AVENUE STORM SEWER LIFT STATION
RELIEF WELL, CONTRACT NO. 1066, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the need to enhance stormwater
infrastructure through the development of the Hawthorne Avenue Storm Sewer Lift Station
Relief Well under Contract No. 1066; and
WHEREAS, Terracon Consultants, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, has been selected to
provide needed professional services, including but not limited to design, engineering, and
testing, to facilitate this project; and
WHEREAS, the cost for these professional services is established at an amount not to
exceed $41,000.00, which is deemed reasonable and necessary for the scope of services required;
and
WHEREAS, ensuring the provision of quality infrastructure is a priority for the city, and
engaging Terracon Consultants, Inc. will contribute to the successful realization of this objective;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc., in an amount
not to exceed $41,000.00, as detailed in this resolution, is hereby approved for the FY 2024
Hawthorne Avenue Storm Sewer Lift Station Relief Well, Contract No. 1066.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
