RESOLUTION NO. 2025-122
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF THE PROPOSED
LEVY PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 7, 2025, AT 4:30 P.M.,
TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED LEVY RATES AS REQUIRED
BY THE STATE, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is required by state law to conduct a public hearing
before approving any proposed levy rates; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to hold a public hearing to discuss and
approve the proposed levy rates for the fiscal year 2025-2026; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set a date, time, and place for the public hearing and to
instruct the City Clerk to publish notice in compliance with applicable state laws and regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That a public hearing shall be held on the proposed levy rates on April 7, 2025, at 4:30
p.m., at the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, 715 Mulberry Street, Waterloo, Iowa.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to publish the notice of said public hearing in
accordance with state law and city public notice policies, ensuring that residents are adequately
informed of the opportunity to participate.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
