RESOLUTION NO. 2025-124 A SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 7, 2025, TO HEAR PUBLIC COMMENT AND APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSED FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS SET FORTH BY THE WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY ON THE PROPOSED 5-YEAR ANNUAL PLAN, THE 2025 ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN, AND THE 2025-2029 ACOP PLAN, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Authority is responsible for developing plans to manage and administer housing programs to meet local housing needs; and WHEREAS, the 5-Year Annual Plan, the 2025 Administrative Plan, and the 2025-2029 Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) Plan outline critical strategies and guidelines for housing management and funding recommendations; and WHEREAS, public participation is essential for gathering community feedback to ensure these plans align with the housing needs and priorities of the Waterloo community; and WHEREAS, a public hearing shall be conducted to receive comments from residents and stakeholders on these proposed plans and funding recommendations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. That a public hearing shall be held on April 7, 2025, at the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, 715 Mulberry Street, Waterloo, Iowa, to hear public comment and consider approval of the proposed funding recommendations set by the Waterloo Housing Authority on the proposed 5-Year Annual Plan, the 2025 Administrative Plan, and the 2025-2029 ACOP Plan. 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public. 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by the City Council. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March 2025.
