RESOLUTION NO. 2025-129
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO CAHOY
PUMP SERVICE, INC., OF SUMNER, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $349,931.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2024 HAWTHORNE AVENUE
STORM SEWER LIFT STATION RELIEF WELL, CONTRACT
NO. 1066, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo received bids for the FY 2024 Hawthorne Avenue
Storm Sewer Lift Station Relief Well, Contract No. 1066; and
WHEREAS, Cahoy Pump Service, Inc., of Sumner, Iowa, submitted the lowest
responsive, responsible bid in the amount of $349,931.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to accept this bid and move forward with
the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The bid submitted by Cahoy Pump Service, Inc., of Sumner, Iowa, in the amount of
$349,931.00 is hereby accepted.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance for the project are hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
