RESOLUTION NO. 2025-166
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPRO,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,412,835.16, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2025 ASPHALT RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1117, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo solicited competitive bids for the FY 2025 Asphalt
Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1117, to enhance road infrastructure in designated areas;
and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted the most responsive bid in the
amount of $1,412,835.16, meeting the city's requirements for cost-effectiveness and technical
compliance; and
WHEREAS, the project contract, performance bond, and certificate of insurance have
been duly reviewed for adequacy and accordance with project specifications, ensuring they
afford the necessary protections and assurances for project execution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The bid submitted by Aspro, Inc. in the amount of $1,412,835.16 for the FY 2025
Asphalt Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1117, is approved.
2. The contract, performance bond, and certificate of insurance related to this project are
hereby approved as to form and substance.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
