RESOLUTION NO. 2025-168
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR
SANITARY SEWER SERVING THE DOLLAR GENERAL
STORE AT 4803 SERGEANT ROAD, AS SUBMITTED BY
VERLAND ENGINEERING, LLC, SEWAGE TREATMENT
AGREEMENT, DNR FORM 29 (NOV 00) WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, AND FINAL
ACCEPTANCE OF CONSTRUCTION PLANS SUBJECT TO
THE REVIEW AND ACCEPTANCE BY THE DEPARTMENT
OF NATURAL RESOURCES, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Verland Engineering, LLC, has developed plans for a sanitary sewer to
serve the Dollar General Store located at 4803 Sergeant Road, ensuring compliance with
municipal standards and state regulations; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Sewage Treatment Agreement, using DNR Form 29 (Nov 00),
has been prepared in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources, ensuring that
environmental and operational standards are met; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to approve these plans and agreements,
contingent upon the final review and acceptance by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources,
to facilitate the project's progression;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The construction plans for the sanitary sewer serving the Dollar General Store at 4803
Sergeant Road, as submitted by Verland Engineering, LLC, are hereby approved, contingent
upon the final review and approval by the Department of Natural Resources.
2. The Sewage Treatment Agreement using DNR Form 29 (Nov 00) with the Department
of Natural Resources is approved, embodying the necessary protocols and operational standards.
3. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
