RESOLUTION NO. 2025-171 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FARM LEASE AGREEMENT, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2025, WITH RENEE LUPKES, TO FARM APPROXIMATELY NINETEEN ACRES OF LAND FOR HAY BALING IN THE AMOUNT OF $200.00, LOCATED WEST OF 4862 WEST 4TH STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns approximately nineteen acres of land located west of 4862 West 4th Street, suitable for agricultural use; and WHEREAS, Renee Lupkes has expressed interest in leasing this land for the purpose of hay baling, contributing to local agricultural activities and land maintenance; and WHEREAS, the proposed Farm Lease Agreement stipulates terms and conditions agreeable to both parties, establishing a lease term expiring on December 31, 2025, with a lease amount of $200.00, deemed beneficial to the city's interests; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The Farm Lease Agreement with Renee Lupkes is hereby approved, allowing the use of approximately nineteen acres of city -owned land for hay baling, maintaining agricultural productivity of the land. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by the City Council.
