RESOLUTION NO. 2025-173
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH EOCENE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP,
INC., FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,200.00, TO
PERFORM A PHASE I ENVIRONMENTAL SITE
ASSESSMENT ON LAND LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1/4
OF A MILE WEST OF 4634 KIMBALL AVENUE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo requires an environmental assessment to be conducted
on land approximately 1/4 mile west of 4634 Kimball Avenue to determine potential
environmental liabilities and ensure regulatory compliance; and
WHEREAS, Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. has proposed to perform a Phase I
Environmental Site Assessment, offering the expertise and technical capacity needed for
comprehensive evaluation reporting; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Professional Services Agreement sets forth a cost not to
exceed $3,200.00, which is considered reasonable and in the city's best interest for
environmental due diligence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with Eocene Environmental Group, Inc., for
conducting a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
