RESOLUTION NO. 2025-174
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT
BETWEEN THE IOWA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY, HYDRITE CHEMICAL CO., AND THE CITY
OF WATERLOO TO AMEND PROJECT COMPLETION
DATES OF THE HIGH -QUALITY JOBS PROGRAM
APPLICATION, AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has previously entered into an agreement with the Iowa
Economic Development Authority and Hydrite Chemical Co. under the High -Quality Jobs
Program Application to foster economic development and job creation within the city; and
WHEREAS, circumstances necessitate amending the project completion dates within the
existing agreement to accommodate evolving project timelines and ensure successful completion
and compliance with program objectives; and
WHEREAS, the proposed contract amendment has been reviewed and is supported as a
measure to maintain project alignment and facilitation, benefiting all parties involved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The contract amendment between the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Hydrite
Chemical Co., and the City of Waterloo, is hereby approved, adjusting project completion dates
as necessary for the High -Quality Jobs Program.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
