RESOLUTION NO. 2025-177
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH ALIGN ARCHITECTURE AND
PLANNING, PA STUDIO OF PRA, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $225,000.00, FOR DESIGN WORK FOR A
NEW POLICE TRAINING FACILITY, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recognizes the need for a dedicated Police Training
Facility to enhance the operational efficacy and preparedness of its police force; and
WHEREAS, Align Architecture and Planning, PA Studio of PRA, has the expertise and
capacity to provide the necessary architectural design services to realize this facility, offering a
comprehensive scope of work that aligns with the city's goals; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Professional Services Agreement involves a fee of
$225,000.00, reflecting the design work essential for project planning and execution, meeting the
city's standards and objectives for public safety infrastructure;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The Professional Services Agreement with Align Architecture and Planning, PA
Studio of PRA, in the amount of $225,000.00, is hereby approved for design services towards the
new Police Training Facility.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
