RESOLUTION NO. 2025-147
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF
HOTEL/MOTEL TAX COUNCIL DISCRETIONARY FUNDS
TO THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE CEDAR VALLEY IN
THE AMOUNT OF $10,900.00.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo allocates funds from the hotel/motel tax to support
local organizations that contribute to the well-being and cultural enrichment of the community;
and
WHEREAS, the Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley has applied for funding in the
amount of $10,900.00 to assist with its various programs and initiatives aimed at youth
development; and
WHEREAS, the Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley plays a crucial role in providing
essential services and opportunities for young people in the community, fostering educational
growth, maintaining safe and supportive environments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Waterloo recognizes the importance of supporting
organizations that contribute to the social and educational fabric of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council approves the allocation of $10,900.00 in hotel/motel tax council
discretionary funds to the Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley to support its youth -oriented
programs and initiatives.
2. That the allocation of these funds supports the City's efforts in promoting
organizations that contribute to the social and educational fabric of the community.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
