RESOLUTION NO. 2025-148
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC.,
RESETTING THE DATE OF BID OPENING AS APRIL 17,
2025, AND THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 21,
2025, RESCINDING RESOLUTION 2025-126 IN ITS
ENTIRETY, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PASSENGER
BOARDING BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT, NO. FAA
AIP 3-19-0094-057, AND DIRECT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking the Passenger Boarding Bridge
Replacement Project, No. FAA AIP 3-19-0094-057, to enhance airport infrastructure and
passenger service capabilities; and
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., have been prepared
for this project; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to reset the date for bid opening as April 17, 2025, and the
date for the public hearing as April 21, 2025, to ensure proper procurement and community
engagement; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 2025-126 previously adopted in relation to this project requires
rescission to reflect updated project plans and timelines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for the Passenger Boarding
Bridge Replacement Project are hereby approved.
2. The date of bid opening is set for April 17, 2025, and the date of public hearing is set
for April 21, 2025.
3. Resolution 2025-126 is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
4. The City Clerk is directed to publish the required notice of the bid opening and public
hearing as provided by law.
