RESOLUTION NO. 2025-150
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS MARCH 27, 2025, AND DATE
OF PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 7, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT
AB-2025-03-03P, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking Asbestos Abatement Services under
Contract AB-2025-03-03P to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; and
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract have been duly
prepared for the project; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set the date for the bid opening as March 27, 2025, to
facilitate competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is scheduled for April 7, 2025, to ensure community
involvement and project transparency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for the Asbestos Abatement
Services, Contract AB-2025-03-03P, are hereby approved.
2. The date of bid opening is set for March 27, 2025, and the date of the public hearing is
set for April 7, 2025.
3. The City Clerk is directed to publish the required notice of the bid opening and public
hearing as provided by law.
