RESOLUTION NO. 2025-151
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS APRIL 3, 2025, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 7, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2026 LEVEE RIP RAP SPRAYING,
CONTRACT NO. 1120, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking the FY 2026 Levee Rip Rap Spraying
project under Contract No. 1120, aimed at maintaining and enhancing the levee systems for flood
control and environmental management; and
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract have been prepared
to manage and execute the project efficiently; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to schedule a bid opening for April 3, 2025, to ensure a
transparent and competitive bidding process; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is to be held on April 7, 2025, to involve community
stakeholders and discuss project details;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for the FY 2026 Levee Rip
Rap Spraying, Contract No. 1120 are hereby approved.
2. The date of bid opening is set for April 3, 2025, and the date of the public hearing is
set for April 7, 2025.
3. The City Clerk is directed to publish the required notice of the bid opening and public
hearing as provided by law.
