RESOLUTION NO. 2025-164
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF BID TO
CEDAR VALLEY CORP., LLC, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $4,616,849.97, APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 E./W. SAN MARNAN
DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO.
1116, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has solicited bids for the FY 2025 E./W. San Marnan
Drive Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 1116, to enhance infrastructure services; and
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Corp., LLC, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of $4,616,849.97, which the City Council finds to be the most responsive and responsible bid for
this project in accordance with city and state procurement guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the project contract, performance bond, and requisite certificate of insurance
have been duly prepared and reviewed, ensuring compliance with project requirements and
protection of the city's interests;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The bid submitted by Cedar Valley Corp., LLC, for the FY 2025 E./W. San Marnan
Drive Reconstruction Project, in the amount of $4,616,849.97, is hereby approved.
2. The contract, performance bond, and certificate of insurance related to this project are
hereby approved as to form and substance.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
