RESOLUTION NO. 2025-165
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
FY 2025 ASPHALT RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1117.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has developed comprehensive plans, specifications,
and a form of contract for the FY 2025 Asphalt Reconstruction Project, identified as Contract
No. 1117, to address and enhance the city's roadway infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been meticulously prepared to meet
engineering standards, budget considerations, and municipal requirements, ensuring the project's
alignment with city goals for infrastructure improvement and public safety; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed these documents and determined that their
approval is necessary to initiate the competitive bidding process and subsequent project
activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The plans, specifications, and contract form for the FY 2025 Asphalt Reconstruction
Project, Contract No. 1117, are hereby approved, reflecting the necessary standards and
objectives for urban infrastructure development.
2. The Engineering Department is authorized to take all necessary steps to proceed with
implementing this contract, including but not limited to the execution of contracts, and
commencement of work as per the approved plans and specifications.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
