RESOLUTION NO. 2011-409
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF PASTOR MORRIS
ANDERSON OF THE NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST
CHURCH FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094,
NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Pastor Morris Anderson, of the New Hope Missionary
Baptist Church, is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance
on June 26, 2011, July 3, 2011, July 10, 2011 and July 17, 2011,
from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Summer
Outdoor Outreach Services to be held in the church parking lot at
the corner of Broadway Street and Conger Street, including a live
band and PA system, with recommendation and approval of Chief of
Police, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Pastor Morris Anderson, of the New Hope
Missionary Baptist Church, has made formal application for a
variance effective June 26, 2011, July 3, 2011, July 10, 2011 and
July 17, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Pastor Morris Anderson, of
the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, for a variance to
Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on June 26, 2011, July 3,
2011, July 10, 2011 and July 17, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. in conjunction with the Summer Outdoor Outreach Services to
be held in the church parking lot at the corner of Broadway
Street and Conger Street, including a live band and PA system, be
and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of May, 2011.
