RESOLUTION NO. 2025-180
A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR
THE APPROVAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2026 BUDGET AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF
THE HEARING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is in the process of preparing
the budget for Fiscal Year 2026; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to hold a public hearing to approve said budget as required by law,
providing citizens the opportunity to present their views before the final adoption of the budget;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set a date for the public hearing and to instruct the City
Clerk to provide appropriate public notice of such hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That a public hearing shall be held on March 17, 2025, at the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers, City Hall, 715 Mulberry Street, Waterloo, Iowa, to receive public comments on the
approval of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in
accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
