A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
APRIL 21, 2025, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY GREGORY H.
STEFFEN, FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO REMOVE A
CONDITION OF ZONING, TO ALLOW FOR TWO
ADDITIONAL HOMES IN THE "R-2" ONE- AND TWO-
FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF
4192 LOGAN AVENUE, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, Gregory H. Steffen has submitted a request for a Site Plan Amendment to
remove a Condition of Zoning in the "R-2" One- and Two -Family Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the amendment aims to facilitate the construction of two additional homes
on the property located southeast of 4192 Logan Avenue; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the city's zoning regulations and procedural
requirements, a public hearing is necessary to consider such amendments; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the public to hold a hearing to gather feedback and
ensure transparency in the decision -making process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. A public hearing shall be held on April 21, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers, to consider the request by Gregory H. Steffen for a Site Plan Amendment for
the property located southeast of 4192 Logan Avenue.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in
accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
3. All citizens and interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the hearing to
express their views regarding the proposed Site Plan Amendment.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
