RESOLUTION NO. 2025-192 A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 21, 2025, TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF 2119 WEST 8TH STREET IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000.00 TO ARCH HOMES, LLC, AND A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TWIN - HOME WITH AN APPROXIMATE VALUE OF $360,000.00 AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns property located north of 2119 West 8th Street, which is available for sale and development; and WHEREAS, Arch Homes, LLC has proposed to purchase this property for $5,000.00 and has committed to constructing a twin -home with an approximate market value of $360,000.00; and WHEREAS, a Development Agreement will be executed to specify terms and conditions of the sale and the construction project to ensure it aligns with city development goals and standards; and WHEREAS, a public hearing is mandated by city policies for the conveyance of city - owned property, which ensures transparency and public participation in decisions affecting local land use and development; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. A public hearing shall be held on April 21, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, to discuss the proposed sale and conveyance of the city -owned property to Arch Homes, LLC, and the related Development Agreement. 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public. 3. All citizens and interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the hearing to express their views regarding the proposed Site Plan Amendment. 4.
