RESOLUTION NO. 2025-194 A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS APRIL 21, 2025, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY PANTHER BUILDERS FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO ALLOW FOR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT WITH 18 LOTS IN THE "R-1, R-P" PLANNED RESIDENCE DISTRICT LOCATED AT BALTIMORE FIELD, BETWEEN HAWTHORNE AVENUE AND EUREKA STREET, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. WHEREAS, Panther Builders has submitted a request for a Site Plan Amendment for residential development consisting of 18 lots in the "R-1, R-P" Planned Residence District, located at Baltimore Field, between Hawthorne Avenue and Eureka Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, deems it necessary and in the public interest to hold a public hearing to consider said request; and WHEREAS, Iowa law requires that the public be notified of the hearing at least four days in advance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. A public hearing shall be held on April 21, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, to consider the Site Plan Amendment request by Panther Builders for the proposed construction. 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public. 3. All citizens and interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the hearing to express their views regarding the proposed Site Plan Amendment. 4.
