RESOLUTION NO. 2025-195
A RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
MAY 5, 2025, TO APPROVE PROPOSED REPAIRS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 SIDEWALK
INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM — ZONE 5A, AND
APPROVE A REQUEST TO SEND OUT NOTIFICATION TO
PROPERTY OWNERS OF PROPOSED SIDEWALK REPAIRS
AND ESTIMATE OF COSTS, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has initiated the FY 2026 Sidewalk Inspection and
Repair Program focusing on Zone 5A; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to conduct a public hearing to consider the proposed repairs
and the financial implications thereof; and
WHEREAS, notification to property owners regarding proposed repairs and cost
estimates serves the purpose of transparency and due diligence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. A public hearing shall be held on May 5, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers, for the purpose of considering the proposed sidewalk repairs in conjunction
with the FY 2026 Sidewalk Inspection and Repair Program — Zone 5A.
2. Approval is hereby given to notify the property owners affected by the proposed
repairs, including providing them with an estimate of the associated costs.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in
accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
