RESOLUTION NO. 2025-198
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS APRIL 17, 2025, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS MAY 5, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE STREET DEPARTMENT SEAL COAT PROGRAM,
AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH SAID
NOTICE.
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, and the form of contract for the Street
Department Seal Coat Program have been prepared and are ready for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to proceed with setting dates for bid
opening and a public hearing to facilitate the project's implementation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for the Street Department
Seal Coat Program are hereby approved.
2. The date for the opening of bids is set for April 17, 2025.
3. A public hearing is scheduled for May 5, 2025, to consider any objections or
statements for or against the proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract.
4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in
accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its approval and adoption by
the City Council.
