RESOLUTION NO. 2025-224
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS MAY 29, 2025, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS JUNE 16, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2025 PREFABRICATED SHELTER AT 512
UNIVERSITY AVENUE, CONTRACT NO. 1113, AND
INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking the construction of a prefabricated
shelter at 512 University Avenue, identified as Contract No. 1113; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for this project
require approval; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set the date for the receipt of bids to May 29, 2025, and the
date for the public hearing to June 16, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary specifications and bid documents for the Prefabricated Shelter at 512
University Avenue are hereby approved.
2. The date of bid openings is set for May 29, 2025, and a public hearing shall be held on
June 16, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, for the purpose of
considering the Prefabricated Shelter at 512 University Avenue.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in
accordance with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
