RESOLUTION NO. 2025-201
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF A
SPEED HUMP LOCATED NEAR 1167 EASTON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, concerns have been raised by community members and reviewed by the
City's traffic committee regarding vehicular speeds in the vicinity of 1167 Easton Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the installation of a speed hump has been proposed as a measure to enhance
safety and control traffic speeds in the area; and
WHEREAS, the proposed traffic calming measure is expected to improve public safety
and address community concerns about speeding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The installation of a speed hump near 1167 Easton Avenue is hereby approved.
2. The City Traffic Engineering Division is instructed to proceed with the planning and
installation process in accordance with standard practices and budget provisions.
3. The necessary signage and road markings to support the traffic calming measure will
also be implemented as part of this project
