RESOLUTION NO. 2025-211
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL GIS
SERVICES WITH UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA
GEOTREE CENTER OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $9,585.00, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE DIGITIZATION OF ON -STREET TRAFFIC
MARKINGS FOR THE CITY OF WATERLOO, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo requires advanced GIS services for the efficient and
accurate digitization of on -street traffic markings; and
WHEREAS, the University of Northern Iowa GeoTree Center offers specialized GIS
expertise and has proposed a service agreement not to exceed $9,585.00; and
WHEREAS, entering into this service agreement is expected to enhance the City's traffic
management capabilities through improved data quality and accessibility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The professional GIS services agreement with the University of Northern Iowa
GeoTree Center is hereby approved, with an amount not to exceed $9,585.00.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
