RESOLUTION NO. 2025-216
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF
$612,984.11, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DONALD
STREET RESURFACING PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has identified the need to resurface Donald Street to
maintain and improve infrastructure and ensure safety and accessibility for residents and visitors;
and
WHEREAS, Black Hawk County has agreed to partner with the City of Waterloo in this
project to ensure coordinated and efficient use of resources; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the project is calculated at $612,984.11, and both
parties have agreed upon the sharing of costs and responsibilities as outlined in the attached
agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City and its residents to enter into
this agreement, assuring completion and compliance with all applicable standards and
regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The agreement with Black Hawk County in conjunction with the Donald Street
Resurfacing Project is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7' day of April 2025.
