RESOLUTION NO. 2025-243
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISED REFUNDABLE
ADVANCE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF UNDERGROUND
ELECTRIC SERVICE EXTENSION FOR MIDAMERICAN
ENERGY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Waterloo, Iowa, previously approved a refundable
advance for the construction of an underground electric service extension by Resolution No.
2024-534 on September 3, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the refundable advance approved was for the electric distribution necessary
to serve the reconstructed pool at 801 Campbell Avenue as part of the FY 2024 Byrnes Aquatic
Center Project, under Contract No. 1077; and
WHEREAS, a revised amount of $27,570.50 has been determined necessary for the
completion of this vital service extension with MidAmerican Energy, ensuring adequate power
supply for the facility; and
WHEREAS, securing this advance is vital for meeting the project's electrical demands
and maintaining its planned progression and completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the revised refundable advance in the amount of $27,570.50 for the construction of
the underground electric service extension with MidAmerican Energy is hereby approved..
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of
Waterloo.
