RESOLUTION NO. 2025-245
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY, OF DES
MOINES, IOWA, IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF
$6,100.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GAS SERVICE
EXTENSION TO SERVE A RECONSTRUCTED POOL PUMP
HOUSE AT 801 CAMPBELL AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is reconstructing the pool pump house at Byrnes
Aquatic Center, located at 801 Campbell Avenue; and
WHEREAS, provision of utility service is necessary for the operation of the
reconstructed facility; and
WHEREAS, MidAmerican Energy Company, of Des Moines, Iowa, has provided a
proposal to extend gas service to the reconstructed pool pump house at an estimated cost of
$6,100.00; and
WHEREAS, adequate funds have been budgeted and are available to cover the
expenditure; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to proceed with the agreement to ensure timely and
uninterrupted project completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Services Agreement with MidAmerican Energy Company, of Des Moines, Iowa,
in the estimated amount of $6,100.00, for the extension of gas service to serve the reconstructed
pool pump house at 801 Campbell Avenue, in conjunction with the Byrnes Aquatic Center
project, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
