RESOLUTION NO. 2025-246
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EASEMENT AGREEMENT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00 WITH THE WATERLOO
COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE NEW WATERLOO HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT, LOCATED
AT 1350 KATOSKI DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the new Waterloo High School Project is under development at 1350
Katoski Drive; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Waterloo to obtain an easement from the
Waterloo Community School District to facilitate the installation, maintenance, and operation of
public utilities and/or municipal infrastructure in connection with the new high school project;
and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Community School District has agreed to grant said easement
to the City for the nominal consideration of$1.00; and
WHEREAS, the Easement Agreement has been reviewed and is deemed to be in the best
interest of the City of Waterloo and the School District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Easement Agreement between the City of Waterloo and the Waterloo
Community School District, in the amount of$1.00, in conjunction with the new Waterloo High
School Project at 1350 Katoski Drive, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21"day of April 2025.
