RESOLUTION NO. 2025-248
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTRACTED
EDUCATION PROPOSAL FOR THE HARTMAN RESERVE
STORMWATER EDUCATION PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT
OF $2,540.69 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo recognizes the importance of public education
regarding stormwater management; and
WHEREAS, Hartman Reserve Nature Center has submitted a Contracted Education
Proposal to provide a Stormwater Education Program for an amount not to exceed $2,540.69;
and
WHEREAS, the scope of services includes outreach, curriculum delivery, and
community engagement intended to increase awareness and stewardship of local water
resources; and
WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the proposal and determined the program aligns
with local, state, and federal requirements for stormwater education and public involvement; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funding is available and appropriated for this purpose within the
City budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. That the Contracted Education Proposal with Hartman Reserve Nature Center, for the
Hartman Reserve Stormwater Education Program, in the amount of $2,540.69, is hereby
approved.
2. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
