RESOLUTION NO. 2025-234
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPRO,
INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,651,832.50, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE REHABILITATE RUNWAY 18-36 INSIDE RUNWAY 12-
30 SAFETY AREA, FAA AIP GRANT NO. 3-19-0094-0XX-
2025, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has previously approved and authorized the
necessary procedures to solicit bids for the "Rehabilitate Runway 18-36 Inside Runway 12-30
Safety Area" project; and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa submitted the lowest responsive and
responsible bid for this project in the amount of $1,651,832.50; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the contract, performance and payment
bonds, and certificate of insurance provided by Aspro, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve these documents and authorize execution to
proceed with the project under FAA AIP Grant No. 3-19-0094-0XX-2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The bid submitted by Aspro, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of $1,651,832.50 for
the "Rehabilitate Runway 18-36 Inside Runway 12-30 Safety Area" project is hereby approved.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for the project as submitted by Aspro,
Inc. are approved.
