RESOLUTION NO. 2025-236 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH ARCH HOMES, LLC, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TWIN HOME, LOCATED NORTH OF 2119 WEST 8TH STREET, WITH A TOTAL OF $10,000.00 INFILL HOUSING GRANT AND PURCHASE PRICE REFUND OF $5,000.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo seeks to encourage urban infill development to maximize land use efficiency, increase housing options, and enhance community growth; and WHEREAS, Arch Homes, LLC plans to construct a twin home on city-owned property located north of 2119 West 8th Street, furthering the goals of urban redevelopment and community enhancement; and WHEREAS, the City has agreed to provide a financial incentive to support this development in the form of a $10,000.00 Infill Housing Grant and a purchase price refund of $5,000.00; and WHEREAS, a Development Agreement outlining the terms and conditions of this partnership has been prepared and reviewed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The City Council hereby approves the Development Agreement with Arch Homes, LLC, for the purposes of constructing a twin home development on property located north of 2119 West 8th Street. 2. The City Council authorizes a total of$10,000.00 to be allocated as an Infill Housing Grant and approves a refund of the $5,000.00 purchase price to Arch Homes, LLC upon satisfactory completion of the development conditions. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo.
