RESOLUTION NO. 2025-253
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FY 2026 BUDGET
INCLUDING TOTAL PROPERTY TAX ASKINGS OF
$53,630,715.00 AND A LEVY RATE OF $21.79160 FOR THE
BUDGET YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2026, AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2025-239.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa has considered the proposed
FY 2026 city budget including total property tax askings of $53,630,715.00 and a levy rate of
$21.79160 for the budget year ending June 30, 2026, and
WHEREAS, a notice concerning the proposed public hearing to approve the FY 2026 city
budget was published in the Waterloo Courier April 10, 2025, and posted on the city web site
and social media account, as required by law, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the approval of the proposed FY 2026 city
budget was held on April 21, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the proposed FY 2026 city budget including total property tax askings
of $53,630,715.00 and a levy rate of $21.79160 for the budget year ending June 30, 2026, be
hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution No. 2025-239 is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
PASSED AND ADOPTED 23rd day of April 2025.
