RESOLUTION NO. 2025-267
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPOSED REPAIRS TO
SIDEWALKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SIDEWALK
INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM - ZONE 5A.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo has established a Sidewalk Inspection and Repair
Program to maintain safe and accessible pedestrian pathways throughout the city; and
WHEREAS, inspections have been conducted in Zone 5A, identifying sidewalks in need
of repair to comply with safety and accessibility standards; and
WHEREAS, the proposed repairs are necessary to ensure public safety and prevent
potential liabilities from unsafe sidewalks;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The City Council hereby authorizes the proposed sidewalk repairs in Zone 5A as
identified through the Sidewalk Inspection and Repair Program.
2. The Engineering Department shall notify affected property owners of the proposed
repairs and any associated responsibilities or costs as required by city ordinance.
