RESOLUTION NO. 2025-285
RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENTS WITH ACCO
UNLIMITED CORP. TO SUPPLY CERTIFIED CHEMICALS
(LIQUID CHLORINATED SOLUTION AND MURATIC ACID)
AND EQUIPMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THE TREATMENT
OF WATER AT BYRNES AQUATIC CENTER, GATES PARK
SPLASH PAD, AND SPORTSPLEX POOL.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo requires the use of certified chemicals and equipment
to ensure safe and effective water treatment for its public aquatic facilities, including Byrnes
Aquatic Center, Gates Park Splash Pad, and the Sportsplex Pool; and
WHEREAS, ACCO Unlimited Corp. has submitted proposals to provide the necessary
Liquid Chlorinated Solution and Muratic Acid, along with associated equipment, meeting all
regulatory and quality standards; and
WHEREAS, the agreements with ACCO Unlimited Corp. have been reviewed and are
advantageous for the city in maintaining health and safety standards for public pool facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The agreements with ACCO Unlimited Corp. for the supply of Liquid Chlorinated
Solution, Muratic Acid, and related equipment are hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
