RESOLUTION NO. 2025-286 RESOLUTION APPROVING A FARM LEASE AGREEMENT, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2025, WITH JOHN R. WOLFE, TO FARM FOURTEEN ACRES OF LAND FOR $4,200.00, LOCATED WEST OF 4634 KIMBALL AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS the City of Waterloo owns fourteen acres of land located west of 4634 Kimball Avenue, suitable for agricultural use; and WHEREAS, John R. Wolfe has agreed to lease this land to conduct farming activities for a lease amount of $4,200.00, with the lease term expiring on December 31, 2025; and WHEREAS, it is deemed beneficial for the city to enter into this lease agreement to ensure the productive use of the land and generate revenues for city operations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, 1. The Farm Lease Agreement with John R. Wolfe to farm fourteen acres of land located west of 4634 Kimball Avenue for $4,200.00, expiring on December 31, 2025, is hereby approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of May 2025.
