RESOLUTION NO. 2025-290
RESOLUTION APPROVING ELEV8TE HOUSING POLICIES
2025 FOR THE CITY OF WATERLOO.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo recognizes the importance of providing diverse and
affordable housing options to accommodate the community's growing population and dynamic
needs; and
WHEREAS, the E1ev8te Housing Policies 2025 have been developed as a strategic framework to
enhance housing affordability, sustainability, and community development across the city; and
WHEREAS, these policies are designed to align with the city's comprehensive plan,
incorporating stakeholder input and best practices to ensure effective implementation and
positive impact on the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The Elevate Housing Policies 2025 are hereby approved as the guiding document for
housing development and policy initiatives in the City of Waterloo.
2. The department shall monitor the implementation progress and report to the City
Council on the impacts and effectiveness of the policies, adjusting strategies as necessary to
ensure success.
