RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC. AND
RESETTING DATE OF BID OPENING AS NOVEMBER 9,
2023 AND PUBLIC HEARING AS NOVEMBER 15, 2023, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY2023 DROPS AND
INSTALLATION OF A FIBER-TO-THE-PREMISE NETWORK,
CONTRACT NO. 1094.
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, and the form of contract necessary for the
project have been prepared and require formal approval to proceed with the next steps, ensuring
conformity with statutory and regulatory requirements; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to reset the bid opening and public hearing dates to ensure
adequate time for participation from potential bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS UTILITY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows:
1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for the
FY2023 Drops and Installation of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Network, Contract No. 1094,
are hereby approved and reaffirmed.
2. That the bid opening is hereby reset to occur on the 9th day of November, 2023, at 1:00
p.m. in City Hall, and a public hearing regarding said plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimated cost is hereby reset to take place on the 15th day of November,
2023, at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall.
3. That the Board Secretary is authorized and directed to publish notice of said hearing.
