RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
FY2023 DROPS AND INSTALLATION OF A FIBER-TO-THE-
PREMISE NETWORK, CONTRACT NO. 1094.
WHEREAS, the installation of a Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) network will significantly
improve connectivity, increase broadband access, and support economic development in the City
of Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for the FY2023
Drops and Installation of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Network, under Contract No. 1094, have been
prepared and reviewed to ensure they meet the city’s standards and project objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TELECOMMUNICATION
UTILITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1. That the Waterloo Telecommunication Utility Board of Trustees hereby approves the
preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for the FY2023 Drops and
Installation of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Network Project under Contract No. 1094.
2. That the execution of this project shall comply with all relevant laws, ordinances, and
policies governing public improvements, procurement, and contract administration.
