RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO ITG
COMMUNICATIONS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,485,965.00
AND AUTHORIZING THE GENERAL MANAGER TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Telecommunications Utility issued a request for proposals for
the FY2023 Drops and Installation of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Network under Contract No. 1094;
and
WHEREAS, ITG Communications submitted a responsive and responsible bid in the
amount of $7,485,965.00 that meets the technical and financial requirements of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Telecommunications Utility Board of Trustees has determined
that awarding the contract to ITG Communications is in the best interest of promoting efficient
service delivery and advancing the utility’s telecommunications infrastructure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS
UTILITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1. That the Waterloo Telecommunications Utility Board of Trustees hereby awards Contract
No. 1094 for the FY2023 Drops and Installation of a Fiber-to-the-Premise Network to
ITG Communications in the amount of $7,485,965.00.
2. That the General Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute all necessary
documents related to the contract in accordance with the city’s procurement policies and
procedures.
