RESOLUTION NO. 2025-308 RESOLUTION APPROVING A FARM LEASE AGREEMENT, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2025, WITH MICHAEL S. COOK, TO FARM APPROXIMATELY 7 ACRES OF LAND FOR $1,400.00, LOCATED ON MULTIPLE LOTS NEAR 2330 GT DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo owns multiple lots of land near 2330 GT Drive, totaling approximately 7 acres, and suitable for agricultural use; and WHEREAS, Michael S. Cook has proposed to lease these lands for farming purposes for the amount of $1,400.00, with the agreement expiring on December 31, 2025; and WHEREAS, entering into a Farm Lease Agreement with Michael S. Cook is deemed advantageous for utilizing these properties effectively and supporting local agricultural activities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, 1. The Farm Lease Agreement with Michael S. Cook, for farming approximately 5.25 acres of land located south of 2080 Northeast Drive for the amount of $1,050.00, expiring December 31, 2025, is hereby approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
