RESOLUTION NO. 2025-296
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY BROCK EVEN
CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF JESUP, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT
OF $188,929.56, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY2025
SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 4,
CONTRACT NO. 1111; AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-
YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, of Jesup, Iowa, was contracted for the
completion of the FY 2025 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 4, under Contract No.
1111; and
WHEREAS, the contracted work has been completed to the satisfaction of the City, with
a final contract amount of $188,929.56; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reviewed and recommended approval of the
completion and acceptance of work performed in accordance with the terms of the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. Completion of the project under Contract No. 1111 performed by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, in the amount of $188,929.56 is hereby approved and recommended for
acceptance.
2. The City Clerk is instructed to receive and file the two-year maintenance bond
submitted by Brock Even Construction, LLC, ensuring ongoing compliance with the project's
warranty provisions.
3. The City Engineer is authorized to execute any necessary documents pertaining to the
acceptance of the work and activation of the maintenance bond..
