RESOLUTION NO. 2025-343
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION BY BCS
PROPERTIES, LLC, FOR THE IOWA WORKFORCE
HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM, TO CONSTRUCT FOUR
10-PLEX BUILDINGS, TOTALING FORTY NEW HOUSING
UNITS, LOCATED NORTH OF 180 PROVISION PARKWAY,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, BCS Properties, LLC, herein referred to as "the Applicant," has proposed
the construction of a housing project comprising four (4) 10-plex buildings, totaling forty (40)
new housing units; and
WHEREAS, the proposed development is to be located on a parcel of land situated north
of 180 Provision Parkway, within the jurisdiction of the City of Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the Iowa Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program, administered by the Iowa
Economic Development Authority, provides incentives for the development of workforce
housing projects to support community development and economic growth; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant intends to apply for said tax incentives under the Iowa
Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program to support the financial feasibility of the project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project meets the strategic goals
and housing needs of the City of Waterloo and that it is in the best interest of the community to
support the Applicant's application for the Iowa Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The City Council hereby supports the application by BCS Properties, LLC to the Iowa
Economic Development Authority for the Iowa Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program for the
construction of four (4) 10-plex buildings providing a total of forty (40) new housing units to be
located north of 180 Provision Parkway.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa.
