RESOLUTION NO. 2025-314
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JUNE 19, 2025, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS JULY 7, 2025, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE FY 2026 AIRPORT FENCE RELOCATION
PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1133, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is preparing for construction in conjunction with the
FY 2026 Airport Fence Relocation Project, Contract No. 1133; and
WHEREAS, preliminary specifications and bid documents have been prepared for the
project, and the City seeks to proceed with the formal bidding process; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to set a date for the opening of bids as well as a date for the
public hearing and subsequent award of the project bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The preliminary specifications and bid documents for the FY 2026 Airport Fence
Relocation Project, Contract No. 1133, are hereby approved.
2. The date of bid openings is set for June 19, 2025, and a public hearing shall be held on
July 7, 2025, at 5:30 P.M., in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, for the purpose of
considering the FY 2026 Airport Fence Relocation Project, Contract No. 1133.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
