RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JUNE 16, 2025, TO APPROVE A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT
REQUEST BY THE ARCHITECTS PARTNERSHIP, LTD, ON
BEHALF OF CHASE BANK, TO CHANGE A BUILDING
FROM A RESTAURANT TO A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION IN
THE "S-1" SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT LOCATED AT
2009 CROSSROADS BOULEVARD AND INSTRUCT THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, The Architects Partnership, LTD, on behalf of Chase Bank, has submitted a
Site Plan Amendment request to the City of Waterloo to change the use of an existing building
from a restaurant to a financial institution in the "S-1" Shopping Center District located at 2009
Crossroads Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is required to hold a public hearing to gather input from
community members and stakeholders regarding the requested amendment, ensuring compliance
with zoning and development regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. A public hearing to review and consider the Site Plan Amendment request, is hereby
scheduled for June 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
2. The public hearing will allow for discussion and evaluation of the proposed change in
use, facilitating informed decision -making regarding the compatibility and impact of a financial
institution in the current zoning district.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
