RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JUNE 16, 2025, TO APPROVE A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT
REQUEST BY CEDAR RIVER CONTRACTORS, ON BEHALF
OF K-W ELECTRIC, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 29,900
SQUARE FOOT MANUFACTURING, WAREHOUSE, AND
OFFICE BUILDING LOCATED EAST OF 180 WARP DRIVE,
AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS Cedar River Contractors, on behalf of K-W Electric, has submitted a Site
Plan Amendment request to the City of Waterloo for the construction of a 29,900 square foot
manufacturing, warehouse, and office building located to the east of 180 Warp Drive; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project requires a Site Plan Amendment to ensure compliance
with zoning regulations and to address any community or infrastructure considerations; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to allow for the presentation of plans and to
solicit public input regarding the proposed development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. A public hearing to review and consider the Site Plan Amendment request, is hereby
scheduled for June 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
2. The public hearing will allow for examination and discussion of the proposed site plan,
providing an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to review the project details
and express any concerns or support.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
