RESOLUTION NO. 2025-321
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY BAKER ENTERPRISES, INC.,
OF WAVERLY, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $429,626.56 IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 STATE STREET
SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT AND STORM SEWER
DISCONNECTS, CONTRACT NO. 1110, AND RECEIVE AND
FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS Baker Enterprises, Inc., of Waverly, Iowa, has completed the work
associated with the FY 2025 State Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Storm Sewer
Disconnects, under Contract No. 1110; and
WHEREAS, the final project cost is calculated at $429,626.56, aligning with project
specifications and contractual obligations; and
WHEREAS, the project has been inspected and approved by the City Engineer, with a
recommendation for acceptance of the work performed; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has provided a two-year maintenance bond, ensuring quality
and performance of the work completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The work completed by Baker Enterprises, Inc., for the FY 2025 State Street Sanitary
Sewer Replacement and Storm Sewer Disconnects, Contract No. 1110, is hereby accepted as
complete and satisfactory in conformity with contract specifications.
2. The City of Waterloo accepts the two-year maintenance bond provided by Baker
Enterprises, Inc., filed as part of the project closeout documentation to ensure ongoing
maintenance and quality assurance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June 2025.
