RESOLUTION NO. 2025-323
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO OFFICE
CONCEPTS OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$158,538.86, AND KIRK GROSS OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $13,730.00 FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$172,268.86, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE WATERLOO CONVENTION CENTER FURNITURE
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo has conducted a competitive bidding process for the
Waterloo Convention Center Furniture Project to enhance the facility's furnishings; and
WHEREAS, Office Concepts of Cedar Falls, Iowa, has submitted a responsible bid in the
amount of $158,538.86, and Kirk Gross of Waterloo, Iowa, has submitted a responsible bid in the
amount of $13,730.00, for a combined project total of $172,268.86; and
WHEREAS, these bids have been thoroughly evaluated and determined to meet the
project specifications and requirements; and
WHEREAS, necessary contracts, bonds, and certificates of insurance have been reviewed
and are in compliance with city policy and project demands;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The bids submitted by Office Concepts of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the amount of
$158,538.86, and Kirk Gross of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of $13,730.00 are hereby
approved as the lowest responsible bids satisfying all project specifications.
2. The contracts, along with performance bonds and certificates of insurance from both
Office Concepts and Kirk Gross, are hereby approved, authorizing the procurement of furniture
for the Waterloo Convention Center.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
